Timbaland
Timbaland is a compound producer. Compound producers stack their sounds. He usually off sets his drums so one lands .10 or of a second or less behind the other. This makes his tracks sound FULL!! He's too compound to figure out. This is why nobody is touching Timbaland.


Rodney Jerkins (Dark Child)
Rodney Jerkins is still incredible. In our opinion he's the most versatile. Who else could produce tracks like "Butterflies" and "You Rock My World" for Michael Jackson and then turn around and do "Loose My Breath" for Destiny's Child. He has worked with any and everybody. More importantly, he does not sample (impressive). We're not knocking sampling, but we are giving some props to Dark Child. Jerkins is a modern day Quincy Jones.



Scott Storch
Scott Storch is a Linear producer. He does not stack his drums and sounds (at least not often). You can easily pick out each sound when listening to his tracks. If you listen to Timbaland's tracks, you cannot tell where a sound begins or ends. However, Storch makes better melodies than Timbaland. Timbaland blasted Storch when he said "I'm a real producer you are just a piano man" (See You in the Club). He's right! Scott Storch's tracks are softer and more melodic (with the exception of "Lean Back" with Terror Squad). For the first years of his career, Storch was a key boardists for the Roots. His first track was actually "I Got You" featuring the Roots, Eve, and Eryka Badhu. Scott Storch is better at making tracks for singing. He's a "piano man" (Timbaland).


Neptunes
We all know and love the Neptunes. I loved "Drop it Like It's Hot" with Snoop. It was very creative. That was in 2005!! They need to step it up because Timbaland is just killing them.


Kanye West
Kanye is impressive, creative, and psychotic. However, that's what it takes to succeed in this industry. Kanye is a ranked at #4 (by us) because we need to hear something new. If anybody can challenge Timbaland, I believe Kanye can. His only downfall is his stuff tends to sound the same. I don't know why. He does flip his tracks up, but you can still tell it's Kanye. Maybe it's all the sampling. If you try to attack Kanye he will stab you with some kick drums and bass.


Jazze Pha
Jazze Pha is just boring all his stuff sounds the same!! He did not make the list. I believe he hung himself in over producing Ciara. There will never be another Aahliya and Timbaland. They were and are "One in a Million".
